CJ May, a four-star edge recruit for the class of 2025 who was previously committed to Notre Dame, is scheduled to visit Syracuse football later this month. He has set a commitment announcement date for July 13, according to information from 247Sports. Recent reports and insights from analysts suggest that Syracuse is among the top contenders in his recruitment.

May has communicated through his online profile that he will be on an official visit to Syracuse from June 14 to June 16. He recently visited Louisville, another team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

According to his profile on 247Sports, schools showing strong interest in May include Syracuse, Auburn, Louisville, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Washington. The offer from Syracuse, led by head coach Fran Brown and his coaching staff, was extended to him on January 21 earlier this year.

Hailing from Highland Home, Alabama, May is a highly regarded prospect at Highland Home High School. He is ranked as high as No. 145 nationally in his class by 247Sports. Although he initially committed to Notre Dame in September, he later de-committed and reopened his recruitment in early February 2024, as reported by recruiting services.

In a recent conversation with 247Sports analyst Mike McAllister, Daniels expressed positive feedback about his official visit to Central New York.

Before making his final decision, Daniels is set to take official visits to N.C. State during the weekend of June 14 and then to Kansas during the weekend of June 21.

In addition to Daniels, other recruits from the 2025 class are also nearing their commitment announcements. Kentrell Rinehart, a four-star running back from Westland High School in Galloway, Ohio, weighing 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, intends to announce his college choice on July 5 after his official visit to Syracuse from June 14 to June 16.

Malik Washington, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound highly-rated quarterback from Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Maryland, is planning to visit Syracuse football this upcoming weekend. A recent article from 247Sports suggests that Washington might announce his commitment around June 28.
