The team still believes it has the talent to end its World Series drought, especially with Yu Darvish nearing a return and Michael King possibly rejoining the rotation soon after the All-Star break.
San Diego is known for making bold moves, and GM A.J. Preller has built a reputation for aggressive trades. Injuries have impacted the roster this season, but with the right additions, the Padres could be a dangerous team come October.
