Alabama Makes Historic Announcement After Super Bowl LIX

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX, capping off the NFL season. Philadelphia finished the year with an 18-3 record, defeating the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders and Kansas City Chiefs en route to the Lombardi Trophy.

After Super Bowl LIX, the Alabama Crimson Tide’s official social media account posted a historic announcement regarding the game. The Crimson Tide now hold the all-time record for the most Super Bowl-winning players in league history.

“Winners Win,” posted Alabama. “Alabama has the MOST Super Bowl-winning players all-time.”

Alabama was represented by seven players in Super Bowl LIX: Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Tyler Steen, Byron Young, Landon Dickerson, Eli Ricks and Cameron Latu. Hurts highlighted the Crimson Tide bunch, winning Super Bowl MVP for his performance.

The Eagles quarterback posted two touchdowns and 221 yards, completing 17-of-22 pass attempts. He also added one touchdown and 72 yards on the ground.

The Crimson Tide will look to build off their historic success, entering year two under head coach Kalen DeBoer. They finished the season with a 9-4 record and a 5-3 mark in SEC play during DeBoer’s first season with the program.
