Alabama Crimson Tide Yet Again Anticipate A Big News
Howard is a four-star tight end from Oak Ridge High School in Tennessee, class of 2027, and has offers from schools including Alabama, Miami, Tennessee, and Florida State, among others.
Malik Howard visited the University of Alabama on Saturday to attend the Crimson Tide’s A-Day event.

Alabama extended an offer to him in February, and he was able to make it to campus last weekend.
“It went great for me and my family,” Howard shared with Touchdown Alabama. “They showed us a lot of love. I really like their operation; everything is very professional, and they treat the players like pros.”
The tight end position at Alabama is appealing to many recruits, as the Tide is pursuing several top tight-end prospects for the 2026 recruiting class.
Howard has taken note of this trend, stating, “They’re really starting to use their tight ends in various ways and look to keep multiple on the field, which suggests potential for great production in that position with the right players.”
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 225 pounds, Howard is a strong tight end who excels at making contested catches. He is versatile, having experience lining up both wide and close to the line. He is skilled at blocking and adept at releasing from blockers to become a target.
“I believe I can be someone who excels as both a blocker and a receiver,” Howard said. “I think I can beat linebackers, safeties, and corners in the passing game while also holding my own against bigger guys in the trenches, so I’m not limited to just being a specialty tight end who comes off the field on certain plays
