Just In: Amy Tudor shuts down his recruitment to the WKU

WKU head coach Amy Tudor revealed that transfer Jenna Blanton has joined the team after spending three years at Kentucky. Tudor expressed her enthusiasm about Blanton’s addition to the program, emphasizing that she will bring athleticism, speed, and valuable experience to the team. Blanton’s performance at Kentucky includes participating in 109 games over the past two seasons, achieving 44 hits and scoring 30 runs.

Hailing from Chapel Hill, Tenn., Blanton is known for her impressive speed and defensive skills in the outfield, showcasing her talent as a strong slapper.

Despite missing her freshman season in 2022 due to an injury, Blanton’s track record includes numerous accolades from her high school days, such as being named first team all-state, first team all-conference, and all-section, while also receiving recognition as a Gatorade Player of the Year nominee.

Throughout her junior year, she accomplished remarkable feats, boasting a 0.61 ERA with five no-hitters, 18 shutouts, three perfect games, 249 strikeouts, and maintaining a .449 batting average at the plate.
