Abdul Carter made a significant announcement

Penn State’s star defensive end Abdul Carter is scheduled to meet with another team picking high in the 2025 NFL Draft.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cleveland Browns will host Carter. Top draft prospects Travis Hunter and Shadeur Sanders from Colorado are also scheduled to meet with Cleveland today.

The Browns currently own the number two overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft. Carter’s abilities as a pass rusher could come in handy for the Browns with franchise star Myles Garrett requesting a trade. The Browns have publicly said they will not trade the former Defensive Player of the Year.

Coming off a season with a team-high 12 sacks for Penn State, Carter is recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in the College Football Playoffs and recently learned he has a stress fracture in his foot.

NFL Draft experts have projected Carter to be one of, if not the first, players taken when the draft begins in Green Bay on April 24.
