Former Stetson guard Jalen Blackmon has made the decision to join the University of Miami for the 2024-2025 season after pulling out of the 2024 NBA Draft, as reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Rothstein shared, “Jalen Blackmon has confirmed his withdrawal from the 2024 NBA Draft and will be playing for Miami next season. He is transferring from Stetson.”
The 6-foot-3 junior hailing from Marion, Indiana, selected Miami over Northwestern, also weighing options like BYU, Cal, and Villanova while initially keeping his name in the draft, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. Blackmon will now aim to kick off his journey with Miami and contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming season.
Known as the nation’s tenth highest scorer last season, Blackmon averaged 21.3 points per game, with shooting percentages of 42.8% from the field and just over 38% from beyond the arc.
