MUST READ: Talented star Leads Giants to Thrilling 9-3 Victory Over Diamondbacks, Snapping 6-Game Skid

The San Francisco Giants ended their six-game losing streak with a 9-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix. Wilmer Flores hit a grand slam in the third inning, part of a six-run outburst that included a two-run homer from Heliot Ramos.

Ramos had a remarkable game, reaching base six times with two hits and four walks, and Flores added a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning for his fifth RBI. Jorge Soler also homered in the eighth inning.

The win moved the Giants into third place in the NL West, just half a game ahead of the Diamondbacks. Ramos credited his success to his focus on attacking the right pitches and making the right decisions at the plate, noting that he had never walked that many times in a game before, not even in the minor leagues.

San Francisco Giants manager Bob Melvin praised Heliot Ramos, saying, “He’s just so balanced. When you’re hitting like he is, you want to swing. They’re deep counts. It’s really cool to watch.” Ramos had a remarkable game, reaching base six times with two hits and four walks.

On the other hand, Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Jordan Montgomery struggled in his start. He threw 61 pitches, 33 strikes, in just two-plus innings. In the third inning, Montgomery faced seven batters without recording an out, allowing six earned runs and seven hits. He walked three and struck out one. Montgomery and reliever Logan Allen combined to throw 53 pitches in the third inning, indicating a significant increase in pitch count.
