JUST IN: Real Madrid demand €170 million amid Manchester City interest in forward.

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo made some waves earlier this week when he hinted at the potential of leaving the team.

Rodrygo offers worrying update on Real Madrid future amid Liverpool links

Yes, well, you never know; I mean, I do have a contract, but overall, I have enjoyed my time here. We’ll see, but I always want to stay,” he remarked.

Although Rodrygo’s group quickly ruled out a departure, it is still possible that the 23-year-old would request to leave if his profile suffers as a result of Kylian Mbappe’s arrival.

Rodrygo is reportedly interested in joining Manchester City, the Premier League winners, from Real Madrid, according to Mundo Deportivo.

According to the report, Pep Guardiola, the manager of Man City, is a fan of the Brazilian attacker’s style of play and would be willing to include him in the team.

Rodrygo is also being pursued by other teams, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal.

Notwithstanding the wealth of the aforementioned organizations, attracting him away from Real Madrid can prove to be an extremely difficult financial task.

In fact, the source states that should Rodrygo request to leave the team, Real Madrid will demand an enormous transfer fee of €170 million (plus additional costs).

After all, the Brazilian international’s contract was only extended by Los Blancos in November of last year, allowing him to stay until the summer of 2028.

Although Rodrygo stated in his statement that things could change, for the time being at least, it is believed that he is content and focused at Real Madrid.
