The owner of Q Billiards, Mr. Syed Hassan, posted on their Facebook page after alerting the USSA, saying that it was no longer financially feasible to hold the event due to inflation and growing expenses.

“We understand the disappointment this may cause, and we share in your frustration.”

“Of course it is very disappointing to have to cancel the Championship at this late stage, and I would like to offer my sincere apologies to all the players who had already entered and made arrangements for their trip to Houston,” stated Alan Morris, Executive Director of the USSA.

“The Board of the USSA is however in early consultation for staging the Championship later this year, and news of a new date and host will be released in due course.”
