Celtic and Southampton have both been linked with the potential signing of Patrick Pentz.
The Scottish behemoths are getting ready to pursue the Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper this summer, according to Football Insider.
After Joe Hart announced his retirement from the game, Celtic is looking to replace him. Hart was a former England international.
Pentz was a free agent when he joined with Leverkusen in 2022, however he played this season on loan at Danish team Brondby.
With just two league games left in his loan stay, the 27-year-old has been a vital member of the Superliga team as they battle it out with Midtjylland for the championship.
Prior to the impending transfer window, Southampton has been linked to a bid for Pentz, although they will have competition from Celtic.
This season, Brendan Rodgers’ team defeated Rangers to win the Premiership, and they will now focus on strengthening their roster.
After Hart retires, they will undoubtedly want to bolster their goalkeeping position.

Celtic is getting ready to increase its interest in the Austrian now that the Scottish league season is done.
This might offer them an advantage against the Saints, whose league standing for the upcoming season is still up in the air as of this weekend.
