Jack Butland admits Rangers title failure hit him ‘like ton of bricks’ amid Celtic title celebrations

The Light Blues fell short during the Englishman’s first season at the club.

Jack Butland acknowledges that the Rangers’ Premiership title defeat by Celtic has hit him “like a ton of bricks” in recent weeks.

Jack Butland has loved his time at Rangers
Even though he and his teammates’ hopes for the title finally fell short, the English goalkeeper has enjoyed his debut season at Ibrox. The Hoops stole a march thanks to their recent form lull, and their victory over the Old Firm set them up to seal it at Kilmarnock last midweek.

That is obviously disappointing to Butland and the Rangers, especially considering that they appeared to be in a strong position after reentering the race. Even while the league disappointment has truly hit home, that hasn’t affected the fact that he has cherished his time as a Gers player thus far.

“Listen, I’ve loved it,” he declared. It has been a busy time. There have been ups and downs.

Although there have been some amazing moments, winning the league was not our primary objective in the end. Yes, there have been some bad days during the past few weeks.

It strikes you like a ton of bricks, I guess, when you’ve invested so much in that goal and suddenly it disappears. However, I’ve enjoyed the past 12 months. Both the task and the experience have been wonderful.

“I’ve enjoyed my job and my efforts to support the boys.” I’ve enjoyed my work and performing in front of the crowds at Ibrox and anywhere else we go.

“It has been fun, but I am aware that there have been setbacks. Although we haven’t accomplished our goals, I’ve had a great time.”
