BREAKING: Former Green Bay Packers 46-Game Defender Signs With The Jacksonville Jaguars

The Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars are both seeking to establish themselves as serious contenders in the upcoming 2024 NFL season. The Packers are determined to demonstrate to the rest of the league that they have the potential to become a dominant force and a serious threat in the race for the Super Bowl championship.

Similarly, the Jacksonville Jaguars have set their sights on proving their worth and making a strong case for their own Super Bowl aspirations. In an effort to bolster their chances, the Jaguars have decided to bring in a former Packers player to aid them in their quest for success.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have secured a deal with a former defensive player from the Green Bay Packers.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released/injured undrafted free agent wide receiver Wayne Ruby and are said to have reached an agreement with linebacker Ty Summers. The team officially announced the former transaction on Wednesday.

As per a report by Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, Summers is set to join the Jaguars after participating in a workout with the team on Wednesday. Summers had a tryout with the Denver Broncos during their rookie minicamp last weekend.

Following the NFL Draft last month, the Jaguars signed Ruby along with 12 other undrafted players. Ruby, who had an impressive college career at Mount Union, recorded 74 touchdowns during his five years with the program, with an astonishing 30 touchdowns in the 2022 season alone.

Throughout his college tenure, Ruby amassed 362 receptions for 5,624 yards and 74 touchdowns, averaging 15.5 yards per catch and 100.4 receiving yards per game.

Ty Summers played for the Green Bay Packers from 2019 to 2022 after being drafted by them in the 7th round.

Ty Summers was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 7th round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent his first three seasons with the Packers, appearing in 46 games, mostly on special teams.

In 2022, Summers split time between the Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints. He remained with the Saints for the 2023 season.
