A Tennessee football player is once again on Clemson’s radar. Offensive lineman Michael Ray from Memphis University School in Tennessee recently received a visit from Clemson’s OL coach Matt Luke. Ray had been in contact with Clemson since the beginning of his junior season and even visited for a game last year.
However, communication slowed down when Dabo Swinney introduced Luke as the new OL coach before the Gator Bowl. Despite a brief lapse in contact, Ray and Clemson have reconnected recently. Ray is planning to return to Clemson, where he will participate in Dabo Swinney’s high school camp next month to showcase his skills to Luke and the coaching staff.
Seeking a strong team culture, Ray is drawn to Clemson’s program and hopes to earn an offer from the Tigers during the camp. Playing at Clemson would be a dream for Ray, who admires the program and sees it as a top choice.
His visits to other schools like Florida State and Indiana have not deterred his interest in Clemson, where he sees a significant opportunity to further his football career.
