On Wednesday, the Baltimore Ravens announced a two-year contract extension for wide receiver Rashod Bateman, ensuring his continued presence with the team until the 2026 season. This decision ended any speculation about a potential trade involving Bateman, who was selected as the 27th overall pick in the 2021 draft.Instead of exercising the fifth-year option, Bateman became the first first-round wide receiver to secure a second contract with the Ravens.
“Eric DeCosta, Ravens general manager, expressed his congratulations to Rashod Bateman and his family, stating that it was a positive day for the team.Bateman has recorded 93 receptions and 4 touchdowns in his three-season career. However, his first two seasons were impacted by injuries, allowing him to participate in only 18 games. Last season, in his first full year, he achieved 32 receptions for 367 yards and 1 touchdown.”
