According to Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier, the team has extended a contract proposal to free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. However, Grier also mentioned that the Dolphins and Beckham are not near an agreement at this time.
“Nothing imminent” on an agreement between the Dolphins and free agent WR Odell Beckham, Jr., per GM Chris Grier.
OBJ was in the building a few weeks ago and an offer was made, but doesn’t sound like the sides are particularly close

Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier’s recent statement about the team’s offer to free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. follows earlier rumors sparked by All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill’s Snapchat post of himself with Beckham Jr. in April 2024.
Miami head coach Mike McDaniel previously mentioned that Beckham Jr. had visited the team in late March, and the Dolphins had offered him a contract, but he left without signing.Beckham Jr. signed a one-year, $15M deal with the Baltimore Ravens in April 2023 and was released in mid-March.
His performance in Baltimore was below his career average, with 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. The Dolphins already have two star wideouts, Hill and Jaylen Waddle, who had a combined 191 receptions for 2,813 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2023, outside of these two players, no other wide receiver reached 30 catches or 300 receiving yards. Therefore, the Dolphins may be looking to add depth to their wide receiver position.
Dolphins GM Chris Grier basically said Odell Beckham deal isn’t imminent. They’ve exchanged offers and will leave it at that.
