BREAKING: Boilermakers Kuol Kuol Commitment update seals Thanksgiving disaster for Purdue Football

Purdue

Purdue lost another commitment on Thanksgiving Day as three-star offensive tackle Kuol Kuol flipped his verbal pledge to Iowa State.

This marks another setback for Purdue’s 2025 recruiting class, with Kuol becoming the second player to decommit from the Boilermakers on the holiday. Originally committed to Purdue since July, Kuol, who is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive tackle, shared his decision through a post on X.

After much consideration and talk with the people most important to me, I have decided to make the very difficult decision to decommit from Purdue University,” Kuol wrote. “This really has been a conflicting choice, but I feel it’s what’s best for my academic and athletic development moving forward.

With that being said, I’d like to announce my commitment to Iowa State University.

Kuol hails from Dayton, Ohio, and has received a three-star rating from 247Sports. He is joining an Iowa State class that currently ranks 53rd in the country.

Purdue coach Ryan Walters has witnessed several players decommit from the 2025 class as the team has struggled through a 1-10 season. As a result, the Boilermakers are now ranked No. 92 in the 2025 recruiting class and sit at the bottom of the Big Ten.

Earlier on Thanksgiving, Purdue also lost a commitment from three-star linebacker Grant Beerman, who flipped his pledge to Illinois.
