It’s now official: Antione West Jr. has signed with Purdue’. The three-star guard from the 2025 recruiting class completed his Letter of Intent during the college basketball signing period on Wednesday. Currently, West is the only player committed to Purdue in the 2025 class.
He selected Matt Painter and the Boilermakers over Nebraska back in October. Purdue announced West’s official commitment on Wednesday. According to 247Sports, the shooting guard is ranked among the top 200 overall prospects and is considered one of the top five talents from Ohio.
“I chose Purdue because it felt most like home to me when I visited. It was a school I always wanted to attend growing up, and they showed a similar interest in me. I believe my skills and size align well with their needs, and I can really contribute to their success going forward,” West said to On3’s Joe Tipton after announcing his commitment. Last season at Whitmer High School in Toledo, West averaged 20.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. He earned a spot on the Division I All-Ohio First Team following the 2023-24 season.
