The Sun Devils would greatly benefit from having their top offensive player available for the upcoming game against Kansas State.The head coach confirmed that the star senior running back is questionable to play but hopes to practice this week.
He missed the recent game against UCF due to an undisclosed injury sustained in the fourth quarter of the previous match against Oklahoma State, where he had an outstanding performance.In that game, he rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown, and also caught four passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns, earning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season.
He was instrumental in ASU’s strong offensive showing, accounting for over half of the team’s total yards in that game but didn’t return after suffering a shoulder injury during a collision.
Additionally, he became the first player from ASU since 2015 to rush and receive for over 100 yards in a game.A starting junior linebacker is also questionable for the upcoming game after missing the last one due to a nerve-related neck injury but is optimistic about practicing this week.
Junior offensive lineman Kyle Scott saw limited playtime in the last game but is expected to be ready for action against Kansas State. Following his absence from the game against UCF, the senior running back dropped in national rankings from seventh to tenth among FBS running backs, now with 1,001 rushing yards this season.
