Breaking Now: Purdue basketball confirm unexpected, heartbreaking news ahead of fixture

Purdue will be without another super talent forward again on Monday night against Yale, as he has not appeared in a regular season game this season. The junior forward is missing another game due to a fracture in his hand, and he is listed as “out” on the Boilermakers’ availability report for the matchup.

Waddell has missed all three games of the regular season due to injury, having last played in Purdue’s exhibition game against Grand Valley State. Throughout his career at Purdue, he has played in 31 games, scoring 25 points, grabbing 19 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists.

In addition, the Boilermakers are also without 7-foot-4 freshman Daniel Jacobsen, who suffered a fractured tibia in his right leg during Purdue’s win over Northern Kentucky.

Jacobsen had recently earned a starting position and contributed 13 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks in the season-opening win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
