The Auburn Tigers have lost a defensive back commitment to a rising SEC rival. As anticipated earlier today, Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class has decreased with one player’s decision to flip to Ole Miss. This change brings the Tigers’ total commitments down to 26.
The previously committed player, ranked as the #59 cornerback by Rivals, had initially pledged to Auburn on May 18. His recent visit to Oxford for the Rebels’ victory over Georgia may have influenced his decision.
During his visit, he expressed his appreciation for Ole Miss, stating, “I love the culture that Ole Miss has. I love the way that they structure everything within their program… I feel like everyone at Ole Miss really loves the school and wants to be there. So, I want to be a part of that.”
He added, “I’m very excited about being an Ole Miss Rebel… I don’t have to worry about recruiting anymore.”
Coming from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, he was one of two Sunshine State recruits previously committed to the Tigers, with Elijah Melendez being the only remaining prospect from Florida.
In terms of rankings, Auburn maintained its position as Rivals’ fifth-ranked recruiting class even after this flip.
