The Miami Heat are preparing for a possible trade before the deadline as they currently hold the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. In order to better contend with teams like the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks, the Heat need to make some adjustments. One potential move being discussed is a reunion with experienced forward P.J. Tucker.

“I’m not suggesting a major overhaul, but with Ivica Zubac returning against Miami,” noted ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk on the ‘Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective’ podcast, “they now have three big men. Additionally, P.J. Tucker has expressed his desire to be traded openly, even confirming it to me last week in Toronto by stating he is ‘actively seeking a trade.'”

Following this report, Tucker shared an Instagram story of his visit to Miami Beach with the message “Home Sweet Home.” The current Los Angeles Clippers player has faced challenges in securing playing opportunities since departing the Miami Heat after the 2022 season.

Despite his limited playing time, Tucker has shown his value as a leader for teams aiming for championships. In the 2021 championship-winning Milwaukee Bucks squad, he played close to 30 minutes per game.
