NC State football has taken a hit in the 2025 class rankings due to the decommitment of a talented wide receiver.
The team had previously secured a verbal commitment from a senior wide receiver at Santaluces Community High School earlier this summer. However, signs of doubt about his commitment arose during a visit to Michigan, where he received an offer from the Wolverines.
This player was ranked as the top wideout for NC State’s 2025 recruiting class, placing second only to a four-star recruit from Forest Hills High School. His departure has caused NC State to drop three spots in the national rankings, leaving them at No. 46 overall and 10th in the ACC.
On a more positive note, NC State’s upcoming home game against Duke could pave the way for new commitments. This Saturday, the Wolfpack will have more than a dozen recruits visiting, including several highly sought-after seniors.
The decommitted player is Jamar Browder.
