Breaking Now: Oklahoma State University Announces Major Commitment

Oklahoma State University is nearing the conclusion of its recruiting class for 2025 with the addition of a promising linebacker. The player, hailing from Carl Albert High in Oklahoma City, committed to the Cowboys after receiving an offer on October 26 and visiting Stillwater during a game against West Virginia.

In his final high school season, he has accumulated notable statistics, including 44 tackles, two sacks, and one interception, showcasing his skills on a defending state championship team. At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, he demonstrates significant versatility on defense.

In a heartfelt commitment tweet, he expressed gratitude to the Oklahoma State coaching staff for the opportunity, as well as to his family for their support and sacrifices.

With this commitment, he becomes the 15th member of Oklahoma State’s 2025 recruiting class and the fifth defensive recruit, joining a group that includes a defensive lineman, an edge defender, and a safety. Following his commitment, the Cowboys’ recruiting class ranks No. 63 nationally and No. 14 in the Big 12.

The player’s name is Carl’Veon Young, and he is eager to contribute to the team’s success, declaring,

“I can’t wait to bring that championship DNA to Stilly… We’ve got unfinished business until we bring that trophy back home where it belongs in December!”
