After back-to-back trips to the Western Conference finals (and a run to the Stanley Cup final in the Edmonton bubble), the overall value of the organization remains on the rise.
In a report of NHL franchise valuations released by Sportico on Wednesday, the Stars as a team were valued at $1.65 billion for the 2024-25 season. It was a 49% year-over-year increase from 2023.Aside from the hockey organization formerly known as the Arizona Coyotes, who held a 78% year-over-year value increase under new ownership as the Utah Hockey Club, Dallas saw one of the league’s largest jumps from one season to the next.
According to Sportico, NHL team values have nearly doubled over the past three years, with the Toronto Maple Leafs remaining on top at $3.66 billion. As far as where Dallas stacks up with the rest of the league, the Stars ranked the 16th of the 32 NHL teams.
Dallas matched Utah (No. 28) as the only franchises to jump up four spots on the list from the 2023 ranking.
