Arizona State football has been a surprising success this season, boasting a 5-2 record. In Week 10, the Sun Devils face a tough Big 12 matchup against Oklahoma State in Stillwater.
The team is coming off a bye week after a hard-fought road loss to Cincinnati, a game in which they played without starting quarterback Sam Leavitt, who was sidelined due to injury.
Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham confirmed that Leavitt will return as the starter for the upcoming game against Oklahoma State, according to Arizona State insider Chris Karpman.
“Sam Leavitt will start at Oklahoma State,” Dillingham announced. “He’s going to be the guy. He looked really good today,” signaling Leavitt’s readiness to lead the team.
In Leavitt’s absence, Arizona State relied on former Nebraska and Georgia Tech quarterback Jeff Sims, who managed only 155 yards with no touchdowns in the 24-14 loss, while running back Cam Skattebo scored both of Arizona State’s touchdowns.
