Breaking; The Giants expressed excitement over Tyrone T. jr excellent performances: had signed veteran D.S to a three-year contract

The New York Giants hit the jackpot in this year’s NFL Draft by adding an explosive new playmaker to their backfield. Rookie fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy Jr. is emerging as one of the biggest steals of the 2024 NFL Draft, having taken over as the Giants’ starting running back.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. has already claimed the starting running back position. The Giants had signed veteran Devin Singletary to a three-year contract this offseason, expecting him to be the team’s starter for the long term. While Singletary performed well in the early part of the season, a groin injury opened the door for Tracy to get more playing time.

Singletary missed Weeks 5 and 6, during which Tracy stepped in as the starter for both games. Even after Singletary returned, Tracy has continued to hold the starting position. Although Singletary has been active for the last two games, Tracy remains the Giants’ starting running back.

In the first eight weeks of the season, Tracy has accumulated an impressive 376 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 73 carries. Since becoming the starter four weeks ago, he has averaged 86.8 rushing yards per game with 5.69 yards per carry, totaling 347 rushing yards and two touchdowns, along with 72 yards from 12 receptions.

Tracy has been both reliable and dynamic this season. He has achieved 18 first downs and recorded four rushes of over 20 yards. Notably, he had a standout 45-yard touchdown run against the Steelers in Week 8, contributing significantly to the Giants’ offensive explosiveness. The Giants found a valuable asset in the fifth round of this year’s draft with Tracy, who has swiftly emerged as the team’s main rushing threat. He has the potential to evolve into a formidable player in their backfield.
