BREAKING: NC State Football fans confirm stunning news as another high-profile player flips to the team

NC State Football Secures Highly Promising Flip to Roster

The NC State football recruiting team continues to rise in the 2025 rankings after securing a promising recruit flip. Originally committed to South Carolina, the tight end had pledged his commitment to the Gamecocks in June. However, NC State head coach Dave Doeren and his staff remained steadfast in their pursuit, hosting the 6-foot-3, 230-pound, three-star player shortly after offering him post-junior season.

On Thursday, the Wolfpack’s persistence paid off as the player publicly announced his flip from South Carolina to NC State. He had initially scheduled an official visit to Raleigh around his initial commitment to the Gamecocks and will likely reschedule that trip now.

The flipped recruit ranks No. 1,217 overall, No. 62 among tight ends, and No. 162 in Florida according to the 247Sports 2025 Composite. Along with Cary High School’s three-star Gus Ritchey, another tight end in Doeren’s lineup who originally decommitted from UNC, they strengthen NC State’s 2025 roster.

Adding him to NC State’s 19-member recruiting class, which currently sits at No. 43 in the country and No. 9 in the ACC, brings promising depth.

This group features only one four-star recruit, Forest Hills High School’s wide receiver Jerel Bolder, making this latest addition all the more valuable.
