Bills Still Unsure Of Health of Three Starters

The Buffalo Bills continue to struggle with injuries affecting both star players and the overall roster. Defensive linebacker and team leader Terrel Bernard, alongside linebacker Dorian Williams and wide receiver Curtis Samuel, are all uncertain for Buffalo as they head into their Week 8 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Sean McDermott stated on Monday, “We’ll see how they do. Really no updates at this point. We’ll see how the week trends with all three of those guys.”

Bernard stepped up as a leader after Matt Milano suffered a torn triceps during training camp, but he has faced challenges staying healthy this season. Samuel’s position on the team has become increasingly complicated.

Following the trade of Amari Cooper, the Bills now have a logjam at wide receiver, featuring rookie Keon Coleman and veteran Khalil Shakir, both of whom have been more productive this season. This situation raises questions about Samuel’s future with the team, especially as he continues to miss games, indicating that the Bills may be considering parting ways with him.

Bills Provide Injury Update on 3 Key Starters

The Buffalo Bills provided an update on their injured starters after their win against the Tennessee Titans

The Buffalo Bills secured their second consecutive victory on Sunday, defeating the Tennessee Titans 34-10.

While Buffalo comfortably clinched the win, several starters suffered injuries during the game.

Linebacker Terrel Bernard, who has already missed several games this season, left the field multiple times—once due to a head injury and again with an ankle injury. Fellow linebacker Dorian Williams exited in the second half with a knee injury but managed to return.

On the offensive side, receiver Curtis Samuel played just two snaps before leaving the game with a shoulder injury and did not return.

After the game, coach Sean McDermott provided an update on the injured starters as they headed into practice week.

“We’ll see how they do. Really no updates at this point,” said McDermott. “We’ll see how the week trends with all three of those guys.”

The potential loss of Bernard and Williams would significantly impact the Bills. Williams currently ranks fourth in the NFL in tackles, while Bernard is fourth on the Bills in tackles, despite having already missed two games this season. Missing one or both could leave a major gap in the center of Buffalo’s defense.

Samuel’s injury is less critical, as his role has diminished since the Bills acquired Amari Cooper last week. However, if Samuel misses time, Buffalo would lose depth in their receiving corps, which could become crucial as the season progresses.
