Breaking: Bearcats Fans Are Filled With Excitement Regarding A 4-star commitment

Orlando Oak Ridge’s four-star point guard Jalen Reece has narrowed his options down to three schools and plans to announce his commitment on October 16, as shared with On3’s Joe Tipton. Reece is choosing between LSU, Providence, and Cincinnati. The 6-foot-0, 170-pound guard from Florida has already visited all three of his finalists officially; he visited Cincinnati on September 7, LSU on September 21, and Providence on October 11. He also took official trips to Dayton and Penn State. In a previous interview, Reece reflected on some of his visits. Cincinnati: “It was a great visit. It’s always nice to be home — I have family there. I’m close with Jizzle James, who shared a lot about the school. Knowing I have the option to return home is exciting. Although I was born in Orlando, I’ve spent significant time in Cincinnati since my family is from there.”

“The relationship with the coaching staff is strong. They reach out to me frequently through calls and texts, and they’re very engaged. It feels good to know they really want me.”

“The visit was great. I admire players like Antonio Blakeney and Ben Simmons who have been there. It excites me to think about the opportunity to wear that jersey and play. Antonio means a lot to me; he’s like a big brother. Last year, he encouraged me to always be the last to leave the gym. He’s shared a lot of valuable advice, and I train with him during the summer. I really appreciate our relationship.”

Reece is ranked as the nation’s No. 70 overall prospect, the No. 13 point guard, and the No. 14 recruit from Florida for the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which combines data from all four major recruiting media outlets.
