Chandler’s towering presence in the paint alters shots, and his rebounding ability is critical for a Dallas squad that has a predominantly perimeter-oriented frontcourt rotation headlined by Dirk Nowitzki.
Dallas Mavericks star center Tyson Chandler was ruled out for the team’s game against the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 25 due to a hip contusion. He returned to action on March 5 against the Trail Blazers.
Without Chandler’s impact on the defensive end, it will be difficult for the Mavs to win in the loaded Western Conference without resorting to shootouts for victories.
