A man who was hit and killed in a hit-and-run incident on Saturday night was reportedly lying on the road moments before the accident, according to Tucson police.

Dominic Pablo Narcho, 42, was struck around 8:30 p.m. after witnesses stated he walked onto West Speedway at North Stone Avenue and lay down in the eastbound median lane. Authorities are actively looking for the driver who left the scene after the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line. So far this year, Tucson has seen 66 fatal crashes, including 22 involving pedestrians, police report.
