Penn State linebacker commit LaVar Arrington II has been invited to play in the 2025 All-American Bowl. In 2024, the All-American Bowl featured Penn State’s true freshman center Cooper Cousins, and now there is potential for the Nittany Lions to be represented in San Antonio once again in 2025.
Arrington II, who excels at Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak, has been committed to Penn State since July 4 and is among the most prominent members of the program’s 2025 recruiting class, being the son of Nittany Lions legend LaVar Arrington. Despite interest from Tennessee and UCLA during the official visit season, Arrington II decided to stay with Penn State shortly after visiting for an official.
“Development was a big thing for me,” Arrington said in an interview with 247Sports about his commitment to Penn State. “Penn State is known for development, especially at the linebacker position. I know I can grow and develop when I get there, and they can help me become the best player I can be.”
