Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Malcolm Koonce will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury sustained prior to Week 1, as reported by various media outlets.
According to The Athletic, Koonce will have surgery next week. He was placed on injured reserve on September 8. Last season, Koonce recorded eight sacks and three forced fumbles.
He is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March. At 26 years old, Koonce has accumulated 55 tackles and 10 sacks over 39 career games (11 starts) since being drafted by the Raiders in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
