UAB coach is satisfied with his team’s performance despite loss
Despite UAB losing to Arkansas, Trent Dilfer was still happy with his team’s performance. UAB went on the road to play an SEC team and Dilfer believes his team has improved every week, which he is happy about.
“We got better going into this week after being at a crossroads after losing that game the way we did,” Dilfer said, via KNWA.
“We made the focus on just everybody getting better as coaches and players. “We definitely got better this week. College kids can improve a lot in a week and so can coaches. We all did. They played better football this week. It wasn’t enough, but they definitely got better and all of our goals are still ahead of us since we haven’t started conference play yet.”
Dilfer is currently in his second season as the UAB coach, having guided the program to a 5-10 record, with a 3-5 mark in conference play. UAB will have a bye week before they host Navy on September 28.
