Colorado organization president Josh Kroenke recently spoke with Bennett Durando from The Denver Post to clarify the team’s decision to sign Russ. The executive emphasizes that they approached this move with a clear understanding of his dual role.
“I had the opportunity to meet him in person right after the signing, and I’m extremely grateful to have him on our side, especially since I’ve seen him break our hearts for many years in Oklahoma City and elsewhere. He will be a valuable addition for us, both on and off the court, especially with some young players we hope will step up this year. Russ has experienced it all, both in and out of the NBA, making him a crucial part of our identity, both in the locker room and on the court.”
