As the start of his senior football season approaches, Mary G. Montgomery wide receiver Jaiden Smith announced his commitment to South Alabama on Thursday.
Standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 175 pounds, Smith becomes the Jaguars’ 11th commitment for the 2025 signing class. He joins fellow Mobile-area player Antonio Gibbs, an offensive lineman from LeFlore, in committing to South Alabama.
During his junior year in 2023, Smith played a key role in leading MGM to a 12-1 record and a Class 7A, Region 1 championship, making 11 receptions for 189 yards and two touchdowns. His high school quarterback, Jared Hollins, is currently a true freshman at South Alabama.
