With the addition of former Carolina Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer on Monday, the Washington Commanders’ front office revamp proceeded.
Ben Standig of the Athletic reports that Fitterer will report to general manager Adam Peters as a personnel executive.
Fitterer led the Panthers’ front office for three seasons before being sacked in January. Carolina had an NFL-worst 14-37 record throughout that span.
Fitterer, 50, began his NFL career with the Giants as a scout and worked his way up through the ranks of the Seahawks scouting department from 2001 to 2020.
The most recent hire made by Peters as he revamps the Commanders’ front office is Fitterer.
Coach Dan Quinn was hired by Washington’s general manager in January, and in February, he brought in former Lions executive Lance Newmark as his assistant general manager.
