Kirk Ferentz has a lot of experience pushing individuals to reach new heights and understanding what success looks like. He has about 50 guys in the NFL, so he has a lot of experience watching players advance.
One recent leap Ferentz saw was in baseball, where a former football player was admitted to the Major League Baseball. With the 38th pick in the MLB draft, the Colorado Rockies chose Iowa pitcher Brody Brecht.
Brecht was a former receiver for Ferentz and had a tight bond with the football squad. Ferentz commented on Brecht’s draft status and offered him congratulations.
