One of the best big men in the 2025 class will pay the Iowa Hawkeyes an official visit, according to Joe Tipton of On3.
According to Tipton, A’mare Bynum is scheduled to visit Iowa men’s basketball on September 13–15. Bynum has also planned official visits to Ohio State from October 4-6, Colorado from September 20–22, LSU from September 27–29, and Nebraska from September 6–8.
Bynum is an Omaha, Nebraska-born 6-foot-8, 210-pound power forward. Bynum averaged 21.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game during his final season at Bryan High School. For his final season, Bynum is transferring to Branso, Missouri’s Link Academy.
Bynum is regarded as a four-star prospect by most experts. Bynum is ranked No. 15 among power forwards, No. 7 in the state of Missouri in the 2025 class, and No. 75 in the country overall by On3.
Bynum is ranked No. 13 in the cycle and 99th overall among players by 247Sports. Bynum is ranked No. 14 among power forwards and No. 101 overall in the country by Rivals. Finally, Bynum is ranked No. 18 among centers in the 2025 class by ESPN.
Iowa is still looking for its first recruit for the recruiting class of 2025. Should they so choose, the Hawkeye coaching staff will have four scholarships open to enroll players from the 2025 signing class.
On September 13–15, Iowa will also host fellow Philadelphia blue-chip prospect Matt Gilhool, who is rated highly. That is Iowa football’s Family Weekend and the Harvest Kickoff Gold Game weekend. The Hawkeyes host Troy at 3 p.m. CT.
