Miami’s recruiting momentum continued as the Hurricanes secured a commitment from highly touted interior offensive lineman , a five-star prospect hailing from Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada. Ranking as the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2025 ESPN 300, Alofaituli chose Miami over Michigan and Nebraska after official visits to all three schools.
His commitment adds significant strength to the Hurricanes’ 2025 class, making him the highest-ranked prospect to join the program in this recruiting cycle. With his pledge, coach Mario Cristobal has nabbed his 10th commitment since June 18, bolstering a group that includes notable prospects like Hylton Stubbs, Gavin Nix, Herbert Scroggins, and Chris Ewald.
Alofaituli, known for his experience and standing as one of the top offensive linemen in his class, received offers from various powerhouse conferences but was ultimately swayed by Miami’s coaching staff and their track record in developing top-tier offensive line talent.
“The atmosphere and the individuals within the program are what truly stood out to me,” he expressed to ESPN. “Coach Cristobal, Coach Mirabal, and [graduate assistant] Reggie Bain are genuinely exceptional individuals, and they possess the expertise to nurture offensive linemen within the program.”
Hailing from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Alofaituli has been a consistent presence on the offensive line for the dominant Bishop Gorman, and he will culminate his high school tenure as a four-year starter. Displaying versatility across the line for a team that ended with a perfect 12-0 record and secured the Nevada 5A Division I state championship last season, Alofaituli is anticipated to assume the role of a guard or center in his college career.
Following his pledge, Alofaituli plans to cease entertaining other recruitment offers.
“At the moment, it’s closed,” he stated. “However, if circumstances change, I would consider making visits.”
At the start of the month, Miami wasn’t included in ESPN’s top-25 rankings for the 2025 class. Alofaituli’s commitment marks the culmination of a successful period for Cristobal & Co., and the Hurricanes are gaining momentum as they head into the peak of the recruiting season in July.
