BREAKING: Georgia Tech Continues to Build Front Four with June Commitments

Strengthening the Front Four: Georgia Tech’s Defensive Line Recruiting Surge

Georgia Tech’s football program has been making waves on the recruiting trail this June, securing commitments from several top defensive line prospects for their 2024 class. The Yellow Jackets have been laser-focused on bolstering their front four, and the results are starting to show.

One of the key additions to the Georgia Tech defensive line is strong side end DK Mays from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mays, a 6’4″, 255-pound defensive end, held offers from a number of prominent programs, including Houston, Mississippi State, TCU, Texas A&M, and Tulane. However, the talented prospect ultimately decided that Georgia Tech was the right fit for him.

Georgia Tech also landed a commitment from three-star defensive end Andre Fuller earlier this month. The 6’3″, 250-pound prospect hails from Kennesaw, Georgia and chose the Yellow Jackets over several other suitors.

In addition to the defensive end commitments, Georgia Tech secured a pledge from four-star offensive lineman Justin Hasenhuetl. The 6’5″, 300-pound blocker from Suwanee, Georgia will provide a significant boost to the Yellow Jackets’ offensive front.

Building a Top-20 Recruiting Class

This flurry of June commitments has helped Georgia Tech assemble a 2024 recruiting class that is currently ranked in the top 20 nationally. Head coach Geoff Collins and his staff have done an excellent job identifying and securing top talent, particularly along the defensive line. With these latest additions, Georgia Tech has continued to build one of the most impressive defensive fronts in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets are positioning themselves to be a force on that side of the ball for years to come, as they continue to add elite talent to their roster.
