College football has entered a new era with players now able to earn money. Behren Morton, the current starting quarterback for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, is a prime example of this change.
Morton recently signed with Equity Sports, an agency that represents high-caliber athletes known for their character and values. This new representation allows Morton to focus on his performance on the field while the agency secures the best deals for him through the new Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rules.
As a redshirt junior, Morton solidified his position in the team and recently sealed a contract with Equity Sports. He will now lead the team as the starting quarterback for the upcoming 2024 college football season, following the transfer of last year’s starter to another team.
Morton’s impressive performance in recent games, including a successful bowl victory, has brought the Red Raiders to a 4-1 record. Throughout his time at Texas Tech, he has shown his prowess by contributing 2,874 yards and 22 touchdowns, with a standout performance of 1,757 passing yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games.

As Texas Tech gears up for the new era of Big 12 football, which will see four new members joining in 2024, the team is set to open the season with a game against the Abilene Christian Wildcats on August 31.
Morton will have the support of top running back Tahj Brooks and talented new recruit Micah Hudson, a five-star wide receiver, as he leads the Red Raiders into this exciting new phase of college football.
