Bombers’ RB Brady Oliveira gets brutally honest ahead his CFL showdown with Calgary

Bombers’ RB Brady Oliveira Hungry for More Against Calgary

Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Brady Oliveira is determined to satisfy his hunger when his team takes on the Calgary Stampeders this weekend. The reigning Most Outstanding Canadian has felt somewhat deprived so far this season, with just 20 carries for 102 yards through the first three games.

Oliveira, known for his relentless drive and competitive spirit, has made it clear that he is never satisfied and always craving more. As he eloquently stated, “that hunger – and staying hungry – will never stop for me. I’ll never be satisfied. That’s who I am.”

The 24-year-old Winnipeg native has experienced firsthand the feeling of going without, growing up in uncertain circumstances where the next meal was not always guaranteed. This has instilled in him a deep-rooted hunger that fuels his performance on the football field.

“A lot of people when they’re hungry, they think about feeding their appetite. The hunger I feel is more than that – it’s having nothing, wanting something and then once you have it, wanting more,” Oliveira explained, providing a powerful insight into his mindset.

This unwavering determination has served Oliveira well throughout his football career. After watching from the sidelines as the Blue Bombers won the Grey Cup in 2019, he was determined to contribute in a bigger way. Last year, he got his first start and even saw some action in the championship game.

Now, as the Bombers prepare to take on the Stampeders, Oliveira is hungrier than ever. He knows that his team needs him to step up and produce in order to maintain their status as the CFL’s top squad.

“I can’t wait for Sunday. I can’t wait to run out of that tunnel before the 109th Grey Cup with my Winnipeg Blue Bomber brothers and then do everything possible to help bring a third straight championship home,” Oliveira said, his words dripping with anticipation and resolve.

With his relentless drive and unwavering determination, there’s no doubt that Oliveira will leave everything on the field as he looks to satisfy his hunger against Calgary. Bombers fans can expect to see a focused and hungry running back who is hungry for more success.
