Montreal Canadiens star Jake Evans and Emily Flat tie the knot in ‘stunning wedding’

The 28-year-old NHL player from Toronto proposed to his now-wife during a lovely picnic by a lake last summer.

Jake Evans and Emily Flat are now married! Photographer Anouska Proetta Brandon shared a preview of the Montreal Canadiens forward’s wedding at Luttrellstown Castle Resort in Dublin, Ireland on Instagram. The black-and-white video set to Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be” song shows the newlyweds walking, embracing, and sharing kisses after their ceremony.

At the wedding, Evans wore a classic tuxedo with a boutonniere, while Flat looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder wedding dress with a dramatic train, accessorized with a short veil, pearl jewelry, and flowing wavy hair.

Proetta Brandon congratulated the couple and expressed her joy at capturing the beautiful moments. Fans praised the glamorous wedding in the comments, using heart-eye emojis and describing it as breathtaking and stunning.

During their engagement last summer, Evans planned a romantic lakeside proposal at a friend’s cottage, as seen in photos on Instagram. Flat captioned the post with “Yes to forever with you” and a white heart emoji.

Flat praised Evans’ proposal to the Montreal Canadiens, saying that he exceeded all her expectations.

“It was incredible. He involved all my closest friends and family, sought my parents’ permission, and surprised me at a stunning viewpoint near my friend’s cottage. He did an amazing job,” Flat remarked. She mentioned that he even FaceTimed her mom beforehand to get her opinion on his setup, which included pillows, champagne, and candles.

“We had a lovely private moment against a beautiful backdrop, very romantic. Later on, we walked down, and all our closest friends and siblings were there to celebrate with us, popping champagne, enjoying dinner, and partying together.”
