BREAKING NEWS: Miami Hurricanes Officially brings in a new Right Hand Pitcher.

The Hurricanes have finally added a new arm to the bullpen after struggling throughout the year.

The Miami Hurrican baseball club has had a quiet off-season, but with the signing of Carson Fischer, a right-handed pitcher from Davenport University, some movement has begun to take shape.

Fischer recognized a chance to hit the gateway after graduating from Davenport, and he has now committed to the U to bolster the bullpen. Additionally, he will provide some experienced leadership to this young Miami squad, which was looking like it was about to rebuild itself following a successful run in the 2023 NCAA Baseball Tournament.

Even though he has a concerning 4.24 ERA and a 4-7 W/L record, his numbers don’t jump out of the book, but having a player with several years of collegiate experience should help the bullpen, which had trouble this year.

This also applies to the pitching staff. The team’s freshmen and sophomores made up the majority of the pitchers. Although injuries undoubtedly had a part in the team’s development setbacks that many did not anticipate, head coach J.D. Arteaga believes the Canes have a chance to bounce back from their disappointing season.

With the addition, after the 2024 College World Series concludes, keep an eye out for more names to appear on the portal and perhaps some other moves from the Hurricanes.
