Just In: Wisconsin Badgers Lands Key commitment a highly rated 4-star Linebacker from New Mexico

La Cueva’s highly regarded four-star linebacker, Mason Posa, has made a commitment to play for the Wisconsin Badgers. He decided to join the Badgers instead of choosing offers from Oregon and Texas A&M.

Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 210 pounds, Posa visited Wisconsin officially during the weekend of May 31. Additionally, he also visited Oklahoma State on April 12 and Oregon on June 7.

Posa is ranked as the nation’s 209th overall prospect, the 24th linebacker, and the top recruit from New Mexico in the 2025 recruitment cycle, based on the On3 Industry Ranking, which is a weighted average incorporating assessments from all major recruiting media companies.

Wisconsin has seen a strong start in the 2025 recruitment cycle with nearly 20 commitments already secured in the class. Among these commitments is Cincinnati Mt. Healthy’s four-star cornerback, Jaimier Scott, who stands out as a top recruit for the Badgers.

The team also boasts three other highly rated players: Logan Powell, a four-star interior offensive lineman from Scottsdale (Arizona) Brophy College Preparatory; Cameron Miller, a four-star receiver from Atco (New Jersey) Winslow; and Michael Roeske, a four-star offensive tackle hailing from Wautoma (Wisconsin).
