ITS A DISGRACE: Pundit react amid Bijan Robinson unbelievably ESPN 2024 ranking.

According to ESPN’s annual rankings, Bijan Robinson is not yet among the best players in his position.

Every year, ESPN conducts surveys among NFL staff members to determine which players are the best at each position. These are the top players heading into the 2024 season, as the article’s beginning states; they are not based on past career accomplishments or projections for the next five years.

Running back is a position where you would imagine the Atlanta Falcons would have a guy ranked in the top five. Among the league’s most gifted players is Bijan Robinson.

However, he isn’t even regarded as one of the best five by many in the league. He was ranked just outside of the top five running backs because of factors that were deemed to not live up to the hype around him.

Without a question, Bijan Robinson has the potential to be the NFL’s top running back. With Christian McCaffrey in the league, the great running back for the Falcons may still be the best. Even if he hasn’t quite reached his potential, he showed in his rookie season that he can be among the best in unfavorable circumstances.

Things seem to be heading in the right direction in 2024. An experienced quarterback and an offensive coordinator who will make better use of his players surround him. All things considered, he is among the best five players at the position.

He is ranked sixth best by ESPN pollsters, behind players like Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffrey, Nick Chubb, Saquon Barkley, and Breece Hall.

There’s no denying that CMC should be ranked first, but things become tricky from there. At two, Breece Hall? Many fans aren’t even aware of Hall’s team.

After a horrific injury, Nick Chubb is returning to action, and Jonathan Taylor appears to be there solely because of what he did two years prior. There are blatant contradictions.

I’m sure you could argue until you’re blue in the face, but I don’t think the ranking system for this job was very fair. Bijan ought to be above Breece Hall, at the absolute least. He’ll have to demonstrate that on the field this year, I suppose.
