McGuire’s comments were prompted by an intriguing comparison of Shedeur Sanders, made by a former NFL scout, which has surprised many fans. Furthermore, Colorado football’s ranking in the College Football 25 video game has generated significant attention.
Deion Sanders is known for praising coaches from other programs, particularly those whose achievements he wishes to emulate. Now, he finds himself on the receiving end of unexpected praise.
Texas Tech coach praises Sanders
Reporter Scott Proctor disclosed the information in a tweet from Paradise, Nevada, where Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire reportedly expressed his admiration for Deion Sanders. McGuire praised Sanders as a great father to his players, particularly referencing his son Bucky, and acknowledged the strength of Colorado’s football team and their quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Sanders is also actively involved in a paternal role with his players, as evidenced by a recent fishing competition with Travis Hunter, the Buffaloes’ standout defensive back

Another fan appeared to be throwing shade at Dan Lanning, the head coach of Oregon, who famously advised his players before the game against Colorado football to prioritize wins over publicity, a reference aimed at Colorado’s program. Alternatively, the fan may have been taking a dig at Sanders himself.
