Temple Lands Prized  WR

The Temple Owls football team has secured a major commitment from one of the top wide receiver prospects in the Philadelphia area. Rameir Hardy, a rising senior at St. Joseph’s Prep, announced his pledge to play for the Owls on July 11, 2024.

Hardy, a 6’2″ 195-pound pass-catcher, chose Temple over several other Division I programs that had offered him scholarships. The hometown product will now have the opportunity to represent his city at the collegiate level.

Known for his size, physicality, and ability to make plays down the field, Hardy is considered one of the most talented receivers in the region. His commitment continues a strong recruiting run for the Owls, who have landed multiple top local talents in the 2024 class.

Temple is coming off a 7-5 season in 2023 that culminated in a Boca Raton Bowl appearance. The coaching staff, led by head coach Stan Drayton, is excited about the impact Hardy can make on the team’s passing game going forward.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Rameir to our program,” said Drayton. “He’s a versatile playmaker who is going to give our offense a real boost. We can’t wait to get him on campus and start working with him.”

With Hardy’s commitment, the Owls now have 15 players pledged to join the team in 2024. The class is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent memory for the program as they look to compete for an American Athletic Conference championship next season.
